Dear All,

The Office of Dean Students’ Welfare, Environment Club in collaboration with the Department of Environmental Sciences, SSBSR is organizing a poster making competition for UG, PG 1st year students on Thursday (10/10/2024) from 12:00 to 2:00 PM in offline mode.

 

About the Event:  

The poster making competition on the theme: “The Impact of Plastic Pollution on Marine Life: Myth or Fact?” will focus on exploring the myths or facts surrounding the effects of plastic pollution on marine ecosystems and encourage participants to create visually compelling posters that effectively communicate their understanding of the issue. By engaging students, the competition can serve as an effective platform to raise awareness, promote critical thinking, and inspire action on pressing environmental issues, contributing to a more sustainable and environmentally conscious future. The competition aims to spread the message of environmental conservation: “It’s time to rethink Plastic and #SeaTheChange”.

Objectives of Event

Objectives of the Event:

·  To educate students about the significant impact of plastic pollution on marine ecosystems.

· To encourage participants to critically analyze information and evaluate the validity of claims regarding plastic pollution and its effects on marine life.

·  To provide a platform for participants to express their ideas and creativity through visual storytelling.

·  To motivate individuals to take steps to reduce plastic pollution and protect marine environments.

·  To acknowledge and celebrate the creativity and hard work of participants through awards and recognition.
