The objective of "Food Security and Safety in India" is to ensure availability, accessibility, affordability, and quality of food for all citizens. This involves:
- Food Security: Guaranteeing enough food supply to prevent hunger and malnutrition.
- Food Safety: Implementing strict regulations to prevent contamination and ensure public health.
- Sustainability: Promoting efficient agricultural practices and reducing food waste.
- Government Policies: Strengthening schemes like the Public Distribution System (PDS) and FSSAI regulations to maintain food standards.
