Dear All,
The Literary Society of Sharda University under the aegis of Office of Dean Students’ Welfare, in association with Ministry of Education, Government of India, is pleased to announce an Intra-University Poetry Competition named as “Matrabhasha Diwas- Poetry Recitation Competition” on the occasion of Matrabhasha Diwas with the aim of promoting the richness and vitality of indian languages and fostering a sense of pride in our linguistic heritage.
Language is not just a medium of communication; it is the soul of a culture, a vessel of knowledge, and a bridge connecting generations. Celebrating Matrabhasha Diwas reinforces the importance of mother tongues in education and knowledge development.
Objectives of Event
● To foster awareness and understanding and encourage students to explore and articulate the concept of “Linguistic Heritage".
● To promote critical thinking and research and motivate participants to conduct in-depth research on various aspects of self-reliance and empowerment in the Indian context, fostering analytical skills and encouraging them to develop well-informed perspectives on the topic.
● To cultivate public speaking and leadership skills by providing a platform for students to enhance their oratory abilities, build confidence in presenting ideas to an audience, and develop leadership qualities that are essential for contributing to India's journey towards self-reliance and self empowerment.

Guidelines for the event to be followed.
● Everyone should be on time.
● Registration is mandatory for participation in the event.
● Registration form must be filled by all the participants.
● Topic- Matribhasha/Mother Tongue
● Mode: Online(Google Meet) - Link be shared only with registered participants.
● Language: Mother Tongue
● Time Limit: 3.5 Minutes (Max)
● Use one language, No mixed language is allowed.
