Overview

The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is Conducting a short lecture on "Basic Life Support" for the Bachelors Of Dental Surgert students of 3rd year, 4th year and interns on the occasion of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Day on 13th February 2024. Basic Life Support (BLS) is a crucial set of skills and techniques designed to sustain life and provide immediate care to individuals experiencing cardiac arrest or other life-threatening emergencies. Whether in a healthcare setting, workplace, or community environment, proficiency in BLS can mean the difference between life and death. This lecture will outline key components of BLS, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs), and the importance of rapid response and effective teamwork. By mastering these fundamental techniques, individuals can become empowered to confidently intervene in emergencies and potentially save lives.
