About the Event (Brief description):

Ø  World Physiotherapy is committed to furthering the physiotherapy profession and improving global health.

Ø  In 1996, 8 September was designated as World PT Day. This is the dateWorld Physiotherapy was founded in 1951.The day marks the unity and solidarity of the global physiotherapy community. It is an opportunity to recognize the work that physiotherapists do for their patients and community. Using World PT Day as a focus, World Physiotherapy aims to support member organizations in their efforts to promote the profession and advance their expertise. The focus for this year’s World PT Day on 8 September is low back pain, with an in-depth look at some forms of LBPs (Low back pain)

Objectives of Event

Ø  Celebration of World PT Day for a positive impact on the profession’s profile and standing with both the public and policy makers

Ø  Encouraging students to participate in academic and extra-curricular activities to gain knowledge about Physiotherapy practice in management of patients with Low back pain.

Ø  An important part of our purpose is to raise awareness among all about low back pain, their symptoms and in which age groups it is common and role of Physiotherapist.
