Overview
Sharda School of Business Studies is organizing PointPro, a premier debate event which aims at fostering intellectual engagement, critical thinking, and the art of argumentation among students. Open to participants from all academic programs, PointPro will provide a platform for students to express their viewpoints on a variety of current and thought-provoking topics. Participants will form teams of two and receive a designated topic in advance. The teams will then have time to research, prepare, and craft their arguments, both for and against the motion. The debates will be structured, with time allocated for each team to present their case, engage in rebuttals, and respond to counter-arguments
Objectives of Event
Encourage teamwork and collaboration in developing coherent arguments.
Build confidence in public speaking and presenting under pressure.
Foster a culture of healthy competition and respectful discourse.
Provide a platform for students from various academic backgrounds to exchange ideas and learn from each other.
