Sharda School of Law, Sharda University is organizing aFaculty Development Programme (Online) on Advanced Approaches to ResearchMethodology in collaboration with Law Teachers India from Monday, 9th December – Tuesday, 23rd December 2024.

 

About the FDP:

The two-week Faculty Development Programme (FDP) is designed to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of the fundamentals and advanced aspects of Research Methodology. It aims to equip attendees with the philosophical foundations, essential tools, and practical techniques necessary for conducting effective research. This program seeks to address the growing need for research-based investigations into contemporary issues and emerging debates across various academic disciplines. Further the focus will be in fostering an understanding of the integration of AI tools in diverse research areas.

A key focus of the FDP will be to impart knowledge about a range of research techniques, including but not limited to data collection, data analysis, data stratification, and the effective presentation of findings. Participants will also gain hands-on experience with statistical tools and methodologies that are integral to high-quality research. The program is intentionally broad in scope, catering to the academic and professional requirements of faculty members from diverse fields such as Law, Languages and Social Science. Those pursuing doctoral studies will find the sessions particularly beneficial as they explore the nuances of research methodology, thereby enhancing their ability to design and execute robust research projects.

The FDP will feature sessions that delve into core principles of scientific research, the intricacies of crafting research designs, and practical approaches to conducting field studies. Additionally, the program will cover essential aspects of data handling, including collection, organization, and statistical analysis, and will emphasize the effective communication of research findings through oral and written mediums. A special focus will be placed on strategies for disseminating research outcomes to a broader academic and professional audience, ensuring that participants are well-prepared to contribute meaningfully to their respective fields.

Objectives of Event

The aim and objectives of this FDP are -

  1. To equip participants with advanced research methodologies to improve their academic research output.
  2. To acquaint the participants with the contemporary issues and challenges in both doctrinal and non-doctrinal research.
  3. To provide firsthand practical experience of learning methods of sampling, data collection, and data analysis using recent software.
  4. To have a good understanding of developing research proposals for projects using empirical and doctrinal research.
  5. To have an understanding of research ethics and reporting of research findings.
  6. To highlight how AI can enhance data analysis, literature review, and predictive modeling.

Proposed Outcomes:

After completion of this FDP-

  1. The participants will be able to explore the emerging challenges in multidisciplinary research, teaching, and learning.
  2. The participants will be able to identify upcoming research areas across various specializations and fields of research.
  3. The participants would be able to learn different tools for the analysis and interpretation of data
  4. The participants will be able to come out with quality research work to be published in reputed journals at the national and international levels with the guidance of experts.
  5. The knowledge acquired from experts will be percolated to the students and ultimately benefit them.
  6. Better preparedness to integrate AI in teaching and academic responsibilities with  adoption of AI for innovative research practices.
