On 07 February 2024, the Community Health Nursing Department, SSNSR organize the World Cancer Day Awareness programme to increase the awareness regarding early detection, and treatment as well as palliative care this disease at patlakheda village Greater Noida.

Cancer is the second leading cause of death worldwide, representing nearly 1 in 6 deaths globally.

Sharda School of Nursing Science and Research is organizing a Relly & Skit Presentation on the occasion of World Cancer Day on the theme “Close the Care Gap”. World Cancer Day aims to promote awareness on cancer as a public health issue and to strengthen actions towards improving access to quality care, screening, early detection, treatment and palliative care. This year’s theme marks the second year of the campaign “close the care gap” which is about understanding the inequities in cancer care and taking actions to make the necessary progress to address them. The  cancer care gap is not inevitable. our systems can be reimagined, a person’s  situation can be improved, their knowledge about cancer to services made easier

Objectives of Event

  • To provide awareness and education about cancer and how to manage it.
  • To understand the importance of early detection and to discuss recent trends in the cancer treatment.
  • World Cancer Day aims to save millions of preventable deaths each year by raising awareness and education about cancer, to take action against the disease.
  • To Provide awareness for early signs of cancer and its investigations
  • Update about investigation of pre and post cancer.
