Overview
On Internation Animation Day, The Gaming Club of Sharda School of Media, Film, and Entertainment is excited to propose a school-level LAN Tournament of the game of Valorant which is a free-to-play 5v5 character-based tactical first-person shooter. The participants will be expected to go against each other in teams of five in a single-elimination format.
This tournament aims to promote teamwork, strategic thinking, and digital skills, all while providing an exhilarating platform for gaming enthusiasts. As the world of eSports continues to grow rapidly, this event will allow students to showcase their talents in a fun and competitive environment, contributing to the overall growth of gaming culture on campus.
This tournament is designed to be inclusive for all students at Sharda School of Media, Film, and Entertainment, regardless of their gaming expertise. It will foster a sense of community and school spirit, encouraging both experienced gamers and newcomers to participate.
Objectives of Event
Objectives for the VALORANT COMPETITION event:
- Encourage Student Engagement: To provide a platform for students to come together, compete, and engage in the growing field of eSports.
- Promote Teamwork and Strategic Thinking: Many esports’ titles require coordination, communication, and careful planning, helping students develop crucial skills for both gaming and real-world problem-solving.
- Develop Digital Skills: eSports tournaments are rooted in technology. The event will foster interest in technical fields such as game development, streaming, and content creation.
- Enhance College Spirit: By organizing this event, we aim to strengthen the connection among students while also enhancing the visibility of the college as a progressive institution that supports new-age activities like eSports.
