The workshop is designed to be an enriching educational experience, offering participants valuable insights into the complexities of government budgets in India. Through informative presentations and discussions, participants will gain a deeper understanding of budgetary processes, terminology, and the importance of accessible budget data, especially through platforms like the Open Budgets India (OBI) portal.

The event serves as a platform to showcase collaborative initiatives between Sharda University and the Centre for Budget and Governance Accountability (CBGA). It highlights the commitment to providing students with exposure to industry experts, diverse perspectives, and opportunities for collaborative research.

Objectives of Event

• Participants will gain foundational knowledge about the structure and components of government budgets in India.
• Participants will develop a clear understanding of the key concepts and terminology related to government budgeting.
• The session will familiarize participants with the fundamental processes involved in formulating and presenting government budgets.
• Participants will recognize the significance of budget data in the policymaking and decision-making processes.
