Overview
Sharda School of Nursing Science & Research, Sharda University is organizing a one day hands on workshop on using referencing style and citation using Zotero software and SPSS.
A referencing style is a standardized way of referencing sources in the text and in the reference list.Referencing allows to acknowledge the contribution of other writers and researchers in research work. Any assignments or research related project is incomplete without the ideas, words from others hence, it must contain citations. Referencing is also a way to give credit to the writers from where the content and ideas have been borrowed.
SPSS is short for Statistical Package for the Social Sciences, and it's used by various kinds of researchers for complex statistical data analysis. The SPSS software package was created for the management and statistical analysis of social science data. Every researcher must have knowledge of different referencing style for intext citation as well as utilization of SPSS in research.
Objectives of Event
- To increase the knowledge of research scholars in selecting proper intext citation.
- To provide hands on experiences in data analysis, master data sheet formulation in SPSS.
- To increase the technical skills of scholars in understanding various various statistical concepts and apply them to real-world data sets.
- To prevent as well as correct plagiarism in thesis and learn to provide credits to the people whose research ideas have been used in their projects.
