Overview
The National Institute of health and Family Welfare, is an Indian government ministry charged with health policy in India. It is also responsible for all government programs relating to family planning in India. National Institute of health and Family Welfare holds cabinet rank as a member of the Council of Ministers. This mission aims to provide affordable and accessible healthcare to the population, particularly in rural areas and slums. The Department of Family Welfare (FW) is responsible for aspects relating to family welfare, especially in reproductive health, maternal health, pediatrics, information, education and communications; cooperation with NGOs and international aid groups; and rural health services.
Objectives of Event
· Students will explore the location and setting of NIH&FW.
· Students will learn the functioning of NIH &FW
· Students will understand the policy and decision making protocols related to health issues.
· Students will attend a workshop in different topic related to maternal and pediatric nursing
· To reinforce learning in maternal/ child health nursing evidence based practices and related technological advancements.
