Overview

Sharda School of Agricultural Sciences proposes to organize a Value-Added Course on “Plant Tissue Culture and Micro propagation – Lab to Land Exposure” during July 15- November 20, 2024.

Plant Tissue Culture is an important branch of Agriculture that ensures the optimized micro propagation of desired flora for both basic and applied aspects of Plant Biotechnology as well as for its commercial applications.  This technique is widely known for the production of large number of genetically identical plantlets, and it exhibits several advantages over conventional propagation methods. This course offers a comprehensive hands-on training and inputs for learning the basics of Plant Tissue Culture technique with an understanding on laboratory practices along with exposure to “lab-to-land” practice.

Chairman: Prof. Dolly Wattal Dhar, Dean, SSAS
