Overview
Department of Mathematics and IIKEC, Sharda School of Basic Sciences and Research is organizing an Industry visit to “Sleep well Company, Greater Noida” for B.Sc. Mathematics and Data Science & Analytics, 4th Semester students on Date: 21-03-2024, 10:45 AM - 4:30 PM. Sleepwell is a flagship brand of the Sheela Group, India's leading manufacturer of Polyurethane foam and an ISO 9001 certified company. It has 12 state of the art manufacturing units. We believe that an industrial visit to Sleepwell company will greatly enhance the educational experience of our students by exposing them to real-world applications and processes in the industry. Visiting a company provides students with insights into the industry's practices, trends, and challenges. They can learn about the latest technologies, production methods, and market strategies firsthand. Students may have the chance to interact with professionals working in various roles within the company. Networking with industry professionals can provide valuable contacts for future internships, projects, or job opportunities
Objectives of Event
The objectives of the training are:
- To give students a platform to enhance their interpersonal skills.
- To see the best practices opted by different companies for similar work.
- To understand industry problem and important management concepts like Production, Packaging, Purchase and Sales.
- To bridge the gap between classroom theoretical training and practical learning and practical learning in a real- life environment like Market Analysis.
- Seeing real-world applications of classroom learning can inspire and motivate students. It can make academic subjects more relevant and exciting, encouraging them to pursue further studies or careers in related fields.
- They can analyze the company's operations, processes, and products during the visit. This encourages critical thinking skills as they evaluate efficiency, quality control measures, and sustainability practices.
