Overview

As we all know, tobacco use remains one of the leading causes of preventable disease and death worldwide. This year's World No Tobacco Day theme emphasizes the need to address emerging threats like e-cigarettes, which are often misunderstood as safe alternatives to traditional tobacco products.

 

31 May is celebrated as WORLD NO TOBACCO DAY. In this context Tobacco Cessation Cell, Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology, School of Dental Sciences, & Department Psychiatry, School of Medical Sciences, Sharda University in collaboration with District Tobacco Cessation Cell CMO office Gautam Buddha Nagar is celebrating WORLD NO TOBACCO DAY on 31st May 2024.

 

Objectives of Event

  • To encourage all students / faculty members / non-teaching staff in Sharda University who smoke or chew tobacco to quit the habit.
  • To spread awareness about the risks of tobacco use.
  • Motivate the students and staff members to make the world tobacco free.
