Overview

Sharda School of Nursing Science & Research, Sharda University is organizing a health awareness camp on  Hypertension under the theme “MEASURE YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE ACCURATLEY, CONTROL IT, LIVE LONGER” at Pahal Foundation.

Transgender population suffers unique health care concerns. The transgenders are those people whose gender identity differs from their sex assigned at birth as well as those whose gender identity does not confirm to conventional binary gender categories. Some transgender people may undergo medical interventions, such as hormone therapy (eg, estrogen and testosterone) and gender-affirming surgeries to attain physical characteristics that better align with their gender identity. A growing number of institutions have acknowledged the role of education in improving care for transgender individuals and have taken steps to address transgender health. So, a health awareness camp is planned for improving long term health outcomes.
