The A. H. Siddiqi Centre for Advanced Research in Applied Mathematics & Physics (CARAMP) and Department of Mathematics, Sharda School of Basic Sciences and Research (SSBSR), Sharda University, India is organizing a Webinar on Awareness of Trends in Technology under the Memorial Lecture Series 2024 (4th memorial lecture) in memory of the late Prof. A. H. Siddiqi on 20th January 2024.
Prof. Siddiqi (10th January 1943- 20th January 2020) was a renowned Indian Mathematician who made great and original contributions to many Mathematical fields like Wavelet Analysis, Fractals, Mathematical linguistics and Image processing, etc. He was Professor (Emeritus) in the Department of Mathematics, (SSBSR), at Sharda University. He has been associated with Sharda Group of Institutions (SGI) since 2007. During his association, He guided 8 Ph. D. students and published many research papers in Journals of repute. He also authored many books published by international publishers like Springer and Taylor & Francis. He was Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Acting Vice-Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Aligarh.

Prof. Katepalli Raju Sreenivasan is an aerospace scientist, fluid dynamicist, and applied physicist whose research includes physics and applied mathematics. He studies turbulence, nonlinear and statistical physics, astrophysical fluid mechanics, and cryogenic helium. He was the dean of engineering and executive vice provost for science and technology at New York University. Currently, Prof. Sreenivasan is associated with the Eugene Kleiner Professor for Innovation in Mechanical Engineering at New York University Tandon School of Engineering and a professor of physics and mathematics professor at the New York University, Graduate School of Arts and Science and Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences.
