Overview

Department of Art & Design, Sharda School of Design, Architecture & Planning, is organizing a academic trip of 3rd year Students of Design to Ahmedabad and Udaipur. This journey is meticulously planned to immerse students in the vibrant design culture, historical architecture, and innovative practices that these cities offer. The trip is aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications, fostering a deeper understanding of design principles through experiential learning.

Objectives of Event

  • To gain insights into advanced design education practices and innovative approaches at institutions like the National Institute of Design (NID) & CEPT. This involves understanding the research initiatives that shape the future of design.
  • To examine the historical and cultural influences on design through visits to architectural landmarks and traditional crafts
  • To engage directly with traditional craftsmanship and artisanal practices. Participating in workshops on block printing, embroidery, and other local crafts helps students appreciate the skill, tradition, and creativity involved in these art forms.
