Overview
Ganesh Chaturthi is a vibrant and significant Hindu festival dedicated to Lord Ganesha, the elephant-headed deity who represents wisdom, prosperity, and good fortune. Celebrated predominantly in India, the festival spans over 10 days, typically starting in late August or early September. Here are some key elements of the celebration:
Preparation and Decoration: Homes and public spaces are adorned with colorful decorations, including flowers, lights, and rangoli (intricate patterns created on the ground using colored powders). Pandals (temporary structures) are set up to host community celebrations.
