Overview
Sharda School of Law, Sharda University is organizing a Guest Lecture on Importance of Pursuing Internships in Litigation on Thursday, 24th October, 2024.
The lecture is being organized for the students of BA. LL.B (Hons.) and BBA. LL.B (Hons.) – 2nd year with a view that it will highlight why an internship in litigation is not just beneficial but essential for students aspiring to be successful litigators. It will hence, be fruitful for the students in seeking professional growth opportunities during litigation internships.
Objectives of Event
- To make students understand the importance of real-world legal experience in litigation.
- To make them aware of how internships help develop core litigation skills (research, drafting, advocacy).
- To allow the students to discover the networking and mentorship opportunities in litigation.

Speaker Details:
- Adv. Deepadnya Walanj is practicing at the Bombay High Court, specialized in civil litigation, criminal law, and family law. She has participated in cases spanning indirect taxes, family law, and property disputes, other areas. She has also engaged in public speaking as a TEDx speaker where she delivered a talk on Universal Legal Aid and contributed as a virtual volunteer for the United Nations during the COVID-19 pandemic.
