Overview
Department of Architecture at Sharda School of Design, Architecture and Planning (SSDAP), Sharda University is organizing a Related Study Program (RSP) for III & IVth Year, B.Arch. students. The students will embark on an immersive journey through the architectural marvels of Pondicherry, visiting the city of architectural experiments. This program is curated to offer students hands-on experiences and in-depth insights into the region's distinctive architectural heritage, urban planning, and cultural contexts.
Objectives of Event
|
· To analyze the historical and contemporary urban planning approaches of Pondicherry & Auroville.
· To encourage students to draw inspiration from the region’s diverse architectural styles and urban solutions
· This project will help in building on the synergies of sustained interaction with vernacular communities in all corners of the country
· It will help and motivate students gaining the real-world experience of the age-old vernacular techniques and rich culture and heritage of India.
