Name of the Event: Industrial Visit at Delhi State Cancer institute
About the Event: Industrial visit to Delhi State Cancer Institute Dilshad Garden, Delhi which is India’s largest cancer Government Hospital. Students will observe the PET CT & Cyclotron also will learn about radiotherapy and nuclear Imaging and procedures in DSCI. This is a part of the course curriculum for 5th Semester students, B.Sc. (BRIT/BMIT) in Recent advancement in Medical Imaging Course.
Objectives of Event
- Students will learn what nuclear imaging is and its role in cancer diagnosis and treatment.
- Students will observe how nuclear imaging is used in the diagnosis,
- Also Learn nuclear imaging results are integrated with other diagnostic methods like CT or MRI to create more detailed images (e.g., PET-CT).
- Learn how this multimodal imaging contributes to more accurate diagnosis and treatment plans.
