We are excited to invite you to participate in “Sound Check,” the music society's premier audition event designed to discover and celebrate extraordinary musical talent. This is a fantastic opportunity for musicians of all levels to showcase their abilities and become part of a dynamic and supportive community.

 

“Sound Check” is more than just an audition—it's an opportunity to make your mark and contribute to our music society’s vibrant culture. We’re on the lookout for talented musicians and performers across all genres and styles that are eager to share their unique sound and creative expression.

Objectives of Event

  1. Discover Talent: Identify and showcase outstanding musical talent within our community.
  2. Foster Growth: Provide constructive feedback and support to help performers enhance their skills.
  3. Build Connections: Create opportunities for musicians to network with industry professionals and fellow artists.
  4. Promote Diversity: Celebrate a wide range of musical styles and genres, enriching our society with diverse sounds and perspectives.

What to Expect:

  • Performance Slot: Each participant will have 2 to 2:30 minutes to perform their piece.
  • Feedback Session: Gain valuable insights and feedback from our panel of experienced musicians and industry experts.
  • Networking: Engage with other musicians and professionals to expand your connections and opportunities.
  • Future Engagement: Exceptional performers may be invited to participate in future society events and out campus competitions.

How to Apply:

  2. Join the Group: for further updates regarding the audition an individual must join the whatsapp group through the link provided at last in the form.
  3. Prepare Your Performance: Choose a piece or set that best represents your musical talent.
  4. Presentation and scoring: participants will be judged on the basis of voice, texture, range and most importantly pitch accuracy or note accuracy stage presence as well (if vocalist) and rhythm sense, note accuracy, instrument handling and stage presence (if instrumentalist)
