Overview
On the occasion of Mole Day, Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry, Sharda School of Basic Sciences & Research, Sharda University, in collaboration with GeNei Laboratories, Bangalore, organizes a Three-Days Industrial Workshop on Molecular Biology Techniques: Gene Amplification, Characterization and Expression in Bacterial System.
About the Event: This hands-on training is designed to provide participants with practical experience and in-depth knowledge of molecular biology techniques, specifically focused on gene expression, protein purification and characterization, and Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR). It aims to bridge theoretical understanding with practical applications, allowing participants to perform these techniques in a lab setting.

Objectives of Event
- To introduce the fundamentals of gene expression and its regulation in both prokaryotic and eukaryotic systems.
- To guide participants through the steps of protein characterization using SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, and enzyme assays.
- To teach the basics of PCR, including the design of primers, selection of DNA templates, and optimization of conditions.
- To train participants to analyze PCR products using gel electrophoresis and other visualization techniques
