Sports Society, DSW is excited to announce that the try-outs for ALL INDIA INTER UNIVERSITY, TAEKWONDO CHAMPIONSHIP 2024, for the students & players of Sharda University, Greater Noida will be held on 10 October 2024. This is a fantastic opportunity for aspiring athletes to showcase their skills and potentially become a part of the Sharda University team.
What to Bring: Athletic wear, Proper Taekwondo dress, All Taekwondo guards, Chest & face guard, Water bottle, positive and Sportsmanship behavior! (Note: without a proper kit no student will be allowed to take part in the selection trial of the said game/sport).

Objectives of Event
· Self-Defense: One of the primary objectives is to teach effective self-defense techniques to help practitioners protect themselves.
· Physical Fitness: Taekwondo promotes overall physical health, improving strength, flexibility, balance, and cardiovascular fitness.
· Discipline and Respect: Practitioners learn the importance of discipline, respect for instructors and peers, and the values of sportsmanship.
· Mental Focus: Taekwondo training enhances concentration, self-control, and mental resilience, helping students manage stress and challenges.
· Self-Confidence: Through mastering techniques and achieving goals (like belt promotions), practitioners build self-esteem and confidence.
· Cultural Appreciation: Taekwondo encourages an understanding of Korean culture and traditions associated with the martial art.
· Community and Camaraderie: It fosters a sense of belonging and teamwork among students, creating a supportive environment for growth.
· Goal Setting: The structured ranking system teaches goal setting and achievement, motivating students to strive for improvement.
