Overview
To mark the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Indian Constitution, Sharda School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SSHSS) is organizing an event titled "Celebrating Pluralism: Inclusivity, Identity, and Diversity" on 14th November 2024 at Dhanwantri Auditorium, Sharda University. This celebration aims to honor the Constitution's enduring commitment to pluralism and inclusivity while reflecting on the importance of diversity in contemporary India. The event will feature the launch of POLSCI Perspective, a newsletter that will provide insights into the field of Political Science, fostering critical thought and dialogue among students, faculty, and the wider community. The program will also include a Debate competition on the theme: "Is the Current Model of Federalism Effective in Addressing the Developmental Needs of [State Name]?"

Objectives of Event
Celebrate Constitutional Values: Commemorate the Indian Constitution’s 75th anniversary by promoting its foundational principles of inclusivity, justice, and respect for diversity.
Promote Academic Dialogue: Launch POLSCI Perspective, a platform for the exchange of ideas and analysis in the domain of Political Science, enabling students and faculty to engage in critical discussions on current socio-political issues.
Encourage Critical Analysis of Federalism: Through a structured debate, examine the effectiveness of India’s federal model in addressing the specific developmental needs of individual states, fostering an understanding of the dynamics between the central and state governments.
Foster Student Engagement: Encourage students to participate actively in discussions on Indian political issues, developing their public speaking, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
