खुशिय ों की दास्तान (Khushiyon ki Daastan) – A Tale of Happiness is a social initiative by PsyKins, the Psychology club, Abhivyakti Wellness Clinic and Sharda School of Humanities and Social Sciences, in collaboration with Manop Foundation is organizing an event to create a nurturing environment where intergenerational connections thrive, empowering the elderly & other diverse age groups foster an environment of joy together creating therapeutic engagement, and a renewed sense of purpose, while fostering empathy and learning among students. The event will include multiple activities facilitated by student volunteers, each designed to encourage emotional expression, enhance communication skills, and promote empathy and understanding Activities Include:

  • Visual Guided Imagery & Relaxation Exercise: to reduce stress and promote relaxation.
  • Creative Arts & Crafts (Memory Collage): to encourage self-expression, build confidence, and provide a sense of accomplishment through creative collaboration.
  • Music and Movement Therapy: to promote emotional and physical well-being, encourage engagement and active participation.
  • Mirror Moments: Reflection and Takeaways, to solidify learning and improving long-term retention.

Objectives of Event

The main objective of the event is:

  • To Foster Intergenerational Connections: Create lasting bonds between students and elders through shared activities.
  • To Enhance Cognitive and Emotional Well-being: Promote mental clarity, emotional regulation, and stress relief through fun and interactive activities.
  • To Build a Sense of Belonging: Ensure that both elders and students leave with a sense of fulfillment, connection, and joy.
