Overview
Workshop and Hands-on - Workshop and Hands-on Session on FPGA based System Design for Cyber Physical System
:
With India's increasing focus on semiconductor manufacturing and indigenous chip design, the demand for skilled professionals in digital hardware design and FPGA-based implementations has never been higher. Government initiatives like the Semicon India Program are driving significant investments in chip design, EDA tools, and fabrication infrastructure. Leading companies and startups, including Tata Electronics, Vedanta-Foxconn, and ISRO, are rapidly advancing their efforts in ASICs, SoCs, and FPGA-based solutions for cutting-edge applications in AI, 5G, automotive, and defense.
This hands-on workshop is designed to meet industry requirements by equipping participants with essential skills in digital hardware design. Through practical exposure to Verilog coding, FPGA prototyping, and real-world applications, attendees will gain the expertise needed to excel in VLSI design, embedded systems, and semiconductor R&D, making them industry-ready in this rapidly evolving field.
Objectives of the Training:
- Understanding Digital Design Fundamentals:
- Learn the fundamentals of digital design using schematic-based techniques and HDL (Verilog).
- Develop a strong foundation in combinational and sequential circuit design.
- Verilog HDL and FPGA Implementation:
- Gain hands-on experience in coding, simulation, and synthesis of Verilog designs.
- Learn FPGA architecture and implementation techniques using industry-standard FPGA boards.
- Bridging Theory with Industry Applications:
- Explore real-world applications of FPGA-based hardware design in AI, IoT, and high-performance computing.
- Understand the relevance of digital hardware design in the evolving semiconductor landscape.
