Overview
The Department of Life Sciences, Sharda School of Biosciences and Technology is organizing a community connect visit to Village Faridpur, District: Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh on 8th March 2025. Students and faculty will interact with local people and It aims to identify socio-economic issues, promote financial literacy, and support income-generating opportunities to reduce poverty. The visit also focuses on evaluating healthcare access, raising awareness about hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention, and improving overall well-being. Additionally, it seeks to enhance educational opportunities by assessing school infrastructure promoting digital literacy, and providing them with information and practices related to the consumption of healthy foods, a balanced diet, and multiple policies of the government for their benefit.
Objectives of Event
1. Under SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), the focus is on evaluating access to healthcare services, promoting awareness of preventive healthcare, and addressing issues related to malnutrition, hygiene, and mental health. The visit seeks to collaborate with healthcare providers and organizations to improve medical support and well-being.
2. For SDG 4 (Quality Education), the objective is to assess the availability of quality education, identify barriers to learning such as inadequate infrastructure and high dropout rates, and promote digital and vocational learning.
