Department of Civil Engineering, School of Engineering & Technology (SET) is organizing an ‘Expert Talk on Disaster Management’ for B.Tech Civil Engineering students on 4th April 2018.
Objectives :
- To aware the students (youth )to understand the nature of society’s response to disasters,
- To make them understand how to react to reduce the risks for a disastrous event.
Learning outcome:
Students will be educated in a way that offers them adjusted knowledge and develops their capacity for crisis management and preparedness and ensure their readiness for future emergencies.
Expert Speaker Brief profile:
Col. Vivek Shankar Mathur, A practical, confident, focused and result oriented officer with 33 years of service in the Army. He was Chief Engineer of Assam Rifles and has loads of experience in design, planning, and execution of projects. He has taught Civil Engineering to engineering degree courses and looked after the administration at the College of Military Engineering.
