Department of Community Medicine is organizing on “World ORS Day” in collaboration with NGO (Inner Wheel Club) on 29th July 2022 at the catchment areas of UHTC (Bhangel) and RHTC (Panchayatan).
Objectives:
- To sensitize the community regarding the Symptoms and signs of diarrhoea and dehydration.
- To sensitize the community regarding the prevention and management of diarrhoea and dehydration.
- To make the community aware of the role and benefits of ORS.
The activities planned are as follows:
- Health awareness session by faculty of Department of Community Medicine on “Symptoms and prevention of Diarrhoea and Dehydration” among school-going children (at government school) of the catchment area of RHTC (Panchayatan) and UHTC (Bhangel).
- “Demonstration of the correct method of preparation of ORS” by Postgraduates of Department of Community Medicine among school-going children.
- Skit presentation by interns on “Role of hygiene and ORS in management of Diarrhoea” among school-going children.
- ORS sachet and sanitary kit distribution among them.
