Program Introduction:

In today’s competitive period, every candidate is skilled and educated. However, these factors only do not guarantee that he/she will get qualified by the employers. An employer seeks a candidate who can effectively present themself, perform their jobs well, and can also fit into the company culture and interact with other employees effectively. To overcome this barrier, one should know how to represent himself/herself. To do these things successfully, students need to develop soft skills, which enable them to engage in meaningful interactions with others. To overcome this barrier among students, Career Counseling and Development Centre Sharda University is organizing a 3-Day Workshop on “Making Corporate Connect “. Through this workshop, we aim that our students can make a smooth transition from the college campus to professional life. We aim to make the participants introspect, level up their skills as per the requirement of employers, and gain knowledge and self-confidence.

Program Objective:

  • Preparing students for Campus to Corporate Jobs transition
  • To help students improve their communication (Spoken, Written and Presentation Skills)
  • To build confidence, develop self-esteem, and bring positive changes in the attitude and behavior of the participants.
  • To impart career-specific practical inputs along with sharing the expectations of corporate.
  • To give inputs into writing their resumes to face interviews to learning corporate etiquette.

Resource Person(s):

  • Ms. Vaishnavi Tiwari 

She is a Psychologist by profession, currently working as a Soft skills trainer in Sharda skills. Her current projects include working at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade as Research Associate in psychometric testing. Her previous experience includes working in NCERT, New Delhi providing soft skills training to various students of Delhi Gov Schools. Her Industry experience includes working with TCS as Hr Associate in training and development. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in psychology. Her areas of interest include Organizational behavior, social psychology, training and development, and Life skills.

  • Ms. Honey Qaisar                                                                                                   

She is a Verbal and Soft Skills trainer and facilitator. A teacher by profession and Celta Certified Trainer. Currently working with Sharda University as a Verbal and Soft Skills Trainer. Associated with many Government and Private colleges of Management and Technology. She has undertaken prestigious projects in (Nit Srinagar, AMU, and JMI ); she has imparted training at all levels in an organization. Involved in various skill development projects in colleges of Delhi /Ncr Also worked as a freelance English Language trainer with British Council, She is associated with more than 10 colleges. Training and Motivating more than 1000s of souls in the last 8 years.

  •  Dr. Fehmina Khalique                                                                                          

Brief Profile/Bio-note: Dr. Fehmina Khalique is a Ph.D. and MBA in the area of Human Resource Management/Organisational Behaviour and a soft skills trainer working as an Assistant Professor with Sharda Skills, Sharda University. She is associated with academics for the past 14 years and also has several years of industry experience in India and the United States; she enjoys being a corporate trainer, counselor, and consultant. Her research interest lies in business communication, cross-cultural management, human resource management, etc. and she has to her credit several high-quality research papers. She is also involved in copywriting, editing, and reviewing research articles/case studies. In her free time, she likes to do some social work and deliver career counseling sessions for students on honing their interpersonal and corporate communication skills.
